Border 2 Update: The makers have finally unveiled the much-awaited teaser of Border 2. Sunny Deol returns in his iconic role, joined by new members Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, portraying different wing commanders of the Indian Army forces. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film continues the legacy of honouring the bravery, sacrifice, and spirit of Indian soldiers while introducing new layers of untold stories. Border 2 promises to stay true to the classic Border by bringing back the timeline song Sandese Aate Hai with a modern and fresh twist.

During the Border teaser launch event in Mumbai, producer Bhushan Kumar opened up about the inclusion of the song in the upcoming movie. He said, "Humne near to original rakha hai… this time we have added other singers also. January 2 ko launch karenge in Longewala with the Armed Forces. It’s a very very special song. Humne koshish ki hai ki usko original ki feel se alag na rakhe, yet aaj ki sound usme de."

The song  Sandese Aate Hai, which featured in the 1997 Borde, was sung by Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod. The upcoming movie will feature additional voices by new singers.

Sunny Deol Gets Emotional At Border 2 Teaser Launch

The event marked Sunny's first public appearance after the passing of his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, on November 24, 2025. He appeared emotional while delivering the dialogue from the film's teaser and was seen teary-eyed. The video of this moment from the Border 2 teaser event instantly went viral on social media.

All About Border 2 Teaser

Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, Border 2 promises to bring intense battle sequences blended with personal turmoil. One of Sunny's dialogues in the teaser, “Tum jahan se bhi ghusne ki koshish karoge, zameen se, aasmaan se, samundar se-saamne ek Hindustani fauji khada paoge," gave fans goosebumps and created a patriotic vibe.

The film is produced by T-Series in association with J P Dutta's J P Films. It is set to release theatrically on January 23, 2026. Sunny, Varun, Ahan and Diljit star opposite Medha Rana, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.
