Border 2 Teaser Launch: Sunny Deol made his first public appearance after the demise of his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, on November 24, 2025, at the teaser launch of his upcoming movie Border 2. During the event, the actor appeared emotional and was also seen getting teary-eyed while delivering one of the film's dialogues in his signature style. He was accompanied by Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty. A video of Sunny's emotional moment at the Border 2 event went viral, leaving fans emotional as well.

In the viral video from the Border 2 teaser event, Sunny Deol is seen trying to hold back his tears as he is asked to deliver a dialogue from the film. He is heard saying, “Awaaz kahan tak jaani chahiye?" to which the audience responds, “Lahore tak." The actor repeated the line with the same intensity. However, he becomes emotional while delivering the dialogue and seen wiping away his tears.

The event marked an emotional moment for Sunny, who faced the spotlight following his personal loss. He attended the teaser launch of his upcoming film Border 2 in Mumbai with co-stars Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, while Diljit Dosanjh was absent from the event.

In the movie, Sunny will reprise his iconic role as Major Kuldip Singh from the 1997 classic Border. The sequel also introduces new members-Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, who appear in intense battle sequences showcased in the teaser. The glimpse of Sunny Deol as a fearless Army officer, Varun Dhawan as an Indian military officer, Ahan Shetty as an Indian Navy officer, and Diljit Dosanjh as an Indian Air Force officer has sparked anticipation and nostalgia among viewers.

Border 2 Release Date

Border 2 explores the 1971 Indo-Pak War, blending battlefield intensity and personal drama. Alongside the lead cast, the film also stars Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and newcomer Medha Rana in key roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta. The film is set to hit theatres on January 23, 2026, is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with JP Dutta's JP Films.
