During a Weverse live, Kim Taehyung, aka V, greeted fans with a “namaste” before hinting that India could be one of the tour stops. it was his brief message to Indian fans— "Namaste, namaste Indian ARMY. See you next year…" — that sent the fandom into a frenzy, sparking massive excitement and speculation about the group performing in India.

An X user wrote, "BTS COMING TO INDIA AFTER 13 YEARS FOR THE FIRST TIME. INDIAN ARMYS BETTER STREAM THE FUCK OUT OF THEIR NEW ALBUM AND TOP INDIAN CHARTS FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!"
Another one wrote, "Everytime i think about this video of bts coming to india - im reminded of how taehyung always learns little words to interact w armys in that country and it makes me giddy thinking taehyung is gonna learn a few more words and say it when they’re here."

2026 is set to be a significant year for BTS as they prepare to release a new album and kick off their world tour in the spring. All seven members—Jin, Jhope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook—completed their mandatory military service and returned to civilian life in June 2025.
While BTS’ label HYBE has not confirmed the reports and has termed them unverified speculation, Indian ARMYs remain hopeful. Fans point to HYBE launching its India branch in Mumbai this year, believing the move signals a strong possibility of BTS including India as a stop on their upcoming world tour.
