It was 5 years back on this day when BTS member Jimin dropped Christmas Love for the ARMYs. Jimin also penned a love letter which felt like a warm hug. He talked about how growing up and taking on responsibilities slowly makes one lose a bit of his/ her innocence and maybe even hide emotions sometimes. But through it all, he gently reminds that we’re always worthy of love, just the way we are. He shared that he worked really hard on this song with one simple wish in his heart — that everyone listening would feel happy and comforted. Truly, Christmas Love with Jimin hits straight in the feels.
The Kpop idol wrote, "Jimin's Christmas Love Letter. Hello, ARMYS, this is Jimin. Did you receive the Christmas present well? I really wanted to let you guys hear it and I am so, so happy that thankfully I was able to do so. I came here today to tell you why I suddenly gave you this bright song during this difficult time. I came here to let you know a little bit more about that reason. If you look at the content of the song, you would know."
"This song is from my childhood memory, when I first saw the snow I like falling so much. I sing with the emotions I felt when I first saw the snow. As we grow up, I feel we miss our childhood a lot. With or without the current situation, we reminisce a lot about the times when we were childish, innocent and pure. I felt, I wanted to go back to that time. As we grow up, we become responsible for something and that responsibility makes us who were pure and genuine, age. I wonder if it makes us hide our emotions a little bit," he further added.
He said, "But I think we still have those emotions. So, even if it may be childish, how about we express those emotions for once? I hope that day could be today. Everyone, you are all people who are always worthy to be loved. So, rather than calling it cringey, even if it may be a bit embarrassing to express, I hope a situation will come where everyone can have fun together. Although this is a song that is short compared to this grandiose writing, I worked hard making this song with only one wish, that all of you will be happy people. I hope you can go back to the old days and reminisce even for just a little bit after listening to this song."

About Christmas Love: The song was first shared as a special, unofficial gift for fans on December 24, 2020, before receiving an official release on streaming platforms on March 6, 2023. Inspired by the year’s first heavy snowfall, Jimin wanted to capture the pure, innocent emotions of childhood that often fade as people grow older. Sonically, the track carries a sweet holiday pop and R&B vibe, blending classic Christmas carol warmth with modern beats to create a cozy, festive mood. Jimin also co-wrote and co-composed the song alongside BTS leader RM and longtime collaborator Slow Rabbit.
