Danish Pandor's appealing on-screen presence and ability to hold the scene with strong conviction caught instant attention. He played the role of Uzair Baloch, Akshaye Khanna's character Rehman Dakait's cousin in Dhurandhar. Having collaborated with Akshaye Khanna on both spy thriller and Chhaava, Danish Pandor said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Jagran that the seasoned actor is warm to everyone on the set despite his reserved nature. He even referred to himself as a 'fan' of Akshaye Khanna and praised his movie lineup.
Danish Pandor stated that even while he'll greet everyone on the set, he is the kind of person who usually keeps to himself. "Actually he just keep to himself. His ability to just be in that moment every time whenever he is on the set I mean he will acknowledge you, treat you very nicely and everything and then I mean he is completely in there."
Danish Pandor heaped praises on his co-star Akshaye Khanna and called him a wonderful human being. "You know a lot of people wouldn’t know off screen how actually he is as a person, he is a wonderful human being. If you chat with him about movies- he will just give you all the details about his movies and I’ve been a big fan of his work," he added.
Danish also applauded his filmography with movies ranging from Himalaya Putra to Doli Saja Ke Rakhna and even Hungama, Hulchul and Dil Chahta Hai. "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna I’ve seen like so many times. One of my favourite films is Dahej. There are countless movies in which he’s acted tremendously."
Danish Pandor On Mixed Views For Dhurandhar
The actor also discussed the conflicting opinions regarding Dhurandhar, with some praising it and others criticising its extreme nationalism. "Try to humanise it as much as possible, trying to keep emotions involved, and try to understand a lot of perspective, and try to be empathetic about a lot of things. And because the medium is so subjective, a lot of people will be appreciating it, and there will be a lot of people who are gonna be feeling offended about the same."
Danish Pandor continued, "Even if you take into consideration people of different region also, different state, different community, whatever it is, there's gonna be a majority of the chunk will be completely fluid, and some will be against it."
Danish Pandor started his career as a model and gradually shifted his focus to acting. Before the actor bagged good roles, he had to work as a model and do small acting jobs. However, with patience and lots of hard work, he achieved success. He made his acting debut with Kitni Mohabbat Hai and was also seen in shows such as Agent Raghav, Crime Branch and Ishqbaaz.
