Drishyam 3 Cast Updates: The much-awaited third instalment of the popular Drishyam franchise has received a major update that has excited fans across the country. Acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat has reportedly joined the cast of Drishyam 3, alongside Ajay Devgn and Tabu. The addition of Ahlawat is expected to bring a fresh layer of intensity to the gripping crime thriller series. According to reports, filming for Drishyam 3 is scheduled to begin in January 2026. The makers are currently finalising the schedule and cast details as they prepare to take the story of Vijay Salgaonkar forward.
Jaideep Ahlawat’s entry into the Drishyam universe marks his first association with the franchise. Known for his powerful performances in films and web series, the actor is reportedly set to play a crucial role that will significantly impact the storyline. A report in Pinkvilla stated, “Jaideep will begin shooting for Drishyam 3 in January 2026. He has been roped in for a pivotal and extremely exciting role that will add a new twist to the story.” While details about his character are being kept under wraps, expectations are high given Ahlawat’s reputation for intense and layered performances.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn will once again step into the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, the calm and sharp-minded family man whose intelligence has driven the franchise since the beginning. His character remains the emotional core of the series, with audiences deeply invested in his journey. Tabu also returns as IG Meera Deshmukh, continuing the psychological battle between her character and Vijay. Their face-off in the earlier films was widely praised for its depth and tension, making their reunion in Drishyam 3 one of the most anticipated elements of the film.
On the other hand, there have been reports suggesting that Akshaye Khanna, who played a key role in Drishyam 2, may not be part of the third film. While the makers have not issued any official statement, industry buzz points to a possible salary-related disagreement. For now, the production team has chosen to remain silent on the matter.
