Haiwaan: Akshay Kumar is all set to explore a negative role on screen after decades of dominating Bollywood in lead roles. He will be seen playing a villain opposite Saif Ali Khan in Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan. This project has become one of the most-awaited films, especially due to the reunion of Akshay and Saif after almost 17 years. Adding to the anticipation, Akshay's first look photos showing him in a rugged and fierce avatar have leaked, creating a buzz online.

Akshay Kumar's Look From Haiwaan Leaked

In the viral photos, Akshay sports long hair tied back, paired with a thick, bushy beard that adds to the villainous vibe. His intense look and watchful eyes set the tone fr the film. Dressed in an earth-toned attire and a distressed jacket over a blue shirt, Aksghay's appearance hints at a dark character battling both inner and outer demons in Haiwaan.

Priyadarshan has reunited two of Bollywood’s stars, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, who have delivered hit films like Main Khiladi Tu Anadi. The duo is known for their energy, comic timing and charming screen presence. The film is the Hindi version of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam directorial Oppam, which starred Mohanlal in the lead. The superstar will also make a special cameo appearance in the remake. The filmmaker shared glimpses of Mohanlal and Saif's looks from the Haiwaan set. Recently, the makers wrapped up the shoot and announced with group photos from the celebrations on Instagram.

Earlier, during the FICCI FRAMES 2025 event, Akshay opened up about taking on a negative role in the upcoming movie. He said, "I am doing a film where I play a negative character. I was wondering whether I should do it or not. The film is called Haiwaan, but in the end, I lose. The Haiwaan loses."

He added, “I felt like doing a negative role hence I am doing it. Mostly I play the hero in the film."

Directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan is backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The film also features Saiyami Kher. The action thriller is expected to be released in 2026.
