Jailer 2 Update: The anticipation for superstar Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 has been reaching new heights ever since it was announced, thanks to its storyline and cast. A sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster is one of the most-awaited action films. After Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar recently confirmed his involvement in Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial, actor Mithun Chakraborty has now dropped major hints that have sent fans into a frenzy. He confirmed that he will be starring in the film and revealed some names, including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Mithun’s statements have been enough to send anticipation and speculation into overdrive, especially as director Nelson Dilipkumar is expected to mount Jailer 2 on a grand scale.
Is Shah Rukh Khan Joining Rajinikanth In Jailer 2?
In a recent interview with SITI Cinema, when asked about which genre of movies he likes most, Mithun Chakraborty mentioned the name Jailer 2. He said, "It is the film which has Superstar Rajinikanth and many senior artists." Then, he accidentally revealed Shah Rukh Khan's name while mentioning the cast of the film. He added Mohanlal, Shah Rukh Khan, Ramya Krishnan and Shiva Rajkumar. His hint quickly went viral on social media. However, the official confirmation regarding the role of SRK in Jailer 2 is yet to be made by the makers.

About Jailer 2
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth is set to reprise his iconic role as Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian, a retired yet formidable jailer, promising even more intense action-packed sequences and higher stakes this time. Nelson is expected to expand the action-comedy genre beyond the first part with new casts and a layered storyline.
Besides Rajinikanth, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar and Mirnaa are returning in their roles. Nandamuri Balakrishna and Mithun Chakraborty will make special cameo appearances, with Mithun also said to have a full-fledged role in the film. Reports also suggest potential new additions to the cast, including Vidya Balan. The sequel is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
