Mohanlal In Jailer 2: Actor Mohanlal is all set to enthrall audiences with his iconic role in the highly anticipated Malayalam movie L2: Empuraan. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film is ready to make its theatrical debut on March 27. Amid this buzz, speculation about his involvement in Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 has been creating waves lately. Recently, Mohanlal dropped a major hint about his involvement in the sequel to the 2023 action movie.

Mohanlal, who made a cameo in the first installment of Rajinikanth's Jailer as Mathew, hinted at his involvement in the highly anticipated sequel. In a recent interview with Cinema Vikatan, the actor shared, "I got many scripts from Tamil, but I was a little busy with Empuraan and other projects. Now that Jailer 2 has started, I will join the film if they call me."

Following the massive success of the original Jailer, which was released in 2023 and performed well at the box office as expected by the makers and audience, the sequel is highly anticipated. The original movie featured Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. Besides Mohanlal, the film also features special appearances from Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth will reprise his role as Muthuvel Pandian in the sequel. The shoot of the film commenced with a grand pooja ceremony on March 10, and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for more updates.

Starring Mohanlal in the titular role, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, among many others.
