Pallichattambi Release Date Announced: Actor Tovino Thomas’ much-anticipated period action film Pallichattambi finally has a confirmed release date. Directed by Dijo Jose Anthony, best known for Jana Gana Mana, the film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on April 9, 2026. Pallichattambi will release in five languages, with Malayalam being the primary version. The makers have also unveiled Tovino’s striking first look, which has already sparked excitement among fans. 

Pallichattambi release date was officially announced through the film’s Instagram page, where the makers shared a motion poster confirming the worldwide theatrical release on April 9. The announcement has raised expectations, especially as Vishu is considered one of the most lucrative release windows for Malayalam cinema. According to makers, Pallichattambi is set in the 1950s and 1960s, a period rarely explored in mainstream action films. The first-look visuals hint at an intense narrative, with Tovino seen in a rugged, rowdy appearance during what seems to be a high-voltage night action sequence.

Pallichattambi Cast And Crew Details

Pallichattambi features Tovino Thomas in the titular role, marking his return to a historical setting after Ajayante Randaam Moshanam. The script has been written by S. Suresh Babu, while cinematography is handled by Tijo Tomy. The film’s music is composed by popular Mollywood composer Jakes Bejoy. Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead opposite Tovino Thomas. The supporting cast includes Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam and Prashanth Alexander, among others. The film is produced by Naufal and Brijeesh under the World Wide Films banner, along with Chanukya Chaithanya Charan representing C Qube Bros Entertainments.

Tovino Thomas’ Upcoming Projects

Tovino Thomas was last seen in Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan. The actor has a packed line-up ahead, including Athiradi, which is scheduled for release on May 14, 2026. In addition to Pallichattambi and Athiradi, Tovino is also expected to return in the planned sequel to Lokah, where his character will reportedly take centre stage.
