Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda’s sister, Reet Padda, is in the news after she called the film Dhurandhar Propaganda. Though the film is still going strong at the box office, there has been some criticism of the film, too. Reet’s comments calling the film propaganda got her a lot of hate, and the situation has reached such a point that her Instagram account is not visible anymore. 

Reet Padda Calls Dhurandhar 2 Propaganda

Reet Padda recently shared her views on social media regarding Dhurandhar. In a reply to a user’s comment, she stated that Dhurandhar is a Propaganda movie and the storyline of the movie was promoting the government. In addition, there were political elements in the film.

Apart from it, she also called The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story propaganda. Not only this, but Reet also slammed Priyanka Chopra, saying why she didn't speak on the Oscar stage when actor Javier Bardem said, “Say no to war and Free Palestine.”

Trolling Leads to Account Deletion

Soon after going viral, Reet faced a lot of backlash on social media. Many people criticised her views, resulting in a lot of trolling. After this, Reet’s Instagram account is no longer found, suggesting that she might have deactivated or deleted it.

Who Is Reet Padda?

Unlike her sister Aneet, who is involved in the film industry, Reet Padda is based out of Paris and is a marketing professional. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is involved in human and civil rights activism as well.

Internet Reactions to Reet Padda's Statement 

The controversy has garnered mixed reactions on social media. Several users are criticising and trolling her statement, while there have been many who have come out in support, saying “she has the right to speak.”

Not only this, but due to this controversy, sister Aneet Padda and her family are also facing severe backlash. Many people are sharing screenshots of their old tweets and Aneet Padda's following of Turkish politician, Hasan Piker, who called India a terrorist state and country.

Aneet Padda debuted in Bollywood with the film Saiyaara, along with Ahaan Panday. Directed by Mohit Suri and released on July 18, 2025, the film was a hit at the box office and grossed reportedly over Rs 570 crore. Since then, Aneet has been seen in several ads, projects and active on Instagram.
