Choreographer Pony Verma has spoken about her marriage to actor Prakash Raj. She revealed that the 12-year age gap drew criticism from people around her, but she now sees it as one of the reasons their relationship works so well.
In a conversation with journalist Prema Malini Vanam, Pony said several of her friends were upset when she decided to marry a man 12 years older than her.
"My friends were mad because I was marrying a man who was 12 years older than me," she said.

Pony said the age difference means Prakash can better understand her life and the road she has already travelled.

Pony also spoke about her bond with Prakash's daughters from his first marriage, Pooja and Meghana. She recalled that both girls were at the wedding and took part in the rituals.
"On the wedding day, they were standing in front of me during the ceremony, putting mehendi and haldi on the father during the wedding. They stood with us throughout," she said.

Prakash Raj And Pony Verma's Wedding
Prakash Raj and Pony Verma got married on August 24, 2010. It was a small Punjabi ceremony with only close family and friends, including Prakash’s mother and his daughters. The couple welcomed their son, Vedhant, in 2016.
