Toxic: A behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the sets of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has leaked online and is quickly going viral, leaving fans excited and curious about the film’s tone and visual style. The clip features Rocking Star Yash and Nayanthara in costume and has sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with many viewers drawing comparisons to films like Bombay Velvet and even international shows such as Peaky Blinders. Toxic marks Yash’s much-awaited return to the big screen after the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2 and is slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
The leaked video, which has been widely shared on Reddit and other social media platforms, appears to be shot inside a lavish casino-like set. In the clip, Nayanthara, who plays a character named Ganga, is seen confidently walking towards a man and greeting him with a firm handshake. Yash follows soon after and repeats the gesture. Nayanthara looks striking in a black gown, while Yash is seen wearing a crisp white outfit. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Huma Qureshi in the background, who plays the role of Elizabeth in the film. Though the clip is brief, it has been enough to set the internet buzzing.
Soon after the video surfaced, fans began sharing their opinions in the comment sections. Several viewers compared the film’s look and mood to Bombay Velvet. One user commented, “Bombay Velvet vibes.” Another wrote, “Bombay Velvet yet again?” Some were more critical, with one person saying, “Is Peaky really the benchmark? Personally, I'm not rooting for this movie. But what's the point of comparing every single Indian movie with the West?” Others felt the comparisons were predictable, with a comment reading, “It seems like they are imitating Peaky Blinders.” Despite mixed reactions, the clip has undoubtedly managed to grab attention and fuel discussions.
Meanwhile, even before the BTS video leak, the makers of Toxic had been steadily building excitement by releasing character posters. Yash’s intense first look, featuring him in a rugged avatar posing in a blood-filled bathtub, had set social media on fire. Nayanthara’s poster, which introduced her as Ganga, showed her holding a gun while standing at what appeared to be the entrance of a casino. Kiara Advani was also introduced as Nadia.
