Shraddha Kapoor, in a recent interview, shared her experiences in Bollywood following her initial struggles in the industry. The actress, who recently starred alongside Rajkummar Rao in Stree 2, reflected on her early days after her debut in the 2010 film Teen Patti and the subsequent release of Luv Ka The End in 2011. Both films failed to impress at the box office, leaving Shraddha feeling overlooked.
Recalling her journey, Shraddha noted, “After two flops, no one in the industry wanted to work with me until Mohit Suri took a chance and cast me in Aashiqui 2.” She emphasized the challenges of securing roles with the stigma of her earlier failures, stating, “Kaafi saare auditions karne pade kyuki uss waqt aisa koi aisa chahta nahi tha ki mere saath film kare. Khaas tor se agar flop film ka baggage leke aapki shuruat hui hai toh bohot kathin hota hai aapko agli film milna.” It was only after Aashiqui 2 that her career truly took off.
