AI Impact Summit 2026: India will host the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, welcoming leaders from across the world. Top policymakers and major players from the technology industry are expected to attend the five-day event focused on Artificial Intelligence. The summit marks the first time a Global South nation is organising an international gathering of this scale on AI. During the event, India will aim to underline its push for an AI ecosystem that is inclusive, responsible and impactful.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has not been invited to this summit. According to the government, this summit is based on three key principles: People, Planet, and Progress. This means that AI technology should be developed in a way that benefits people, is environmentally friendly, and contributes to global progress. According to sources, cited by jagran.com, the countries participating in the summit have been selected based on strategic and policy criteria. India seeks to strengthen partnerships with countries that support the development of responsible, safe, and human-centered AI.

An impressive line-up of Presidents, Prime Ministers and Crown Princes will take part in the discussions, alongside leading voices from Silicon Valley and other global tech hubs, all meeting under one roof.

On the occasion, PM Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026. The India AI Impact Expo 2026 will be held from February 16 to 20 alongside the India AI Impact Summit and is envisioned as a national showcase of artificial intelligence in action, bringing together policy, innovation, and large-scale implementation under one platform.

Thirteen country pavilions will highlight international collaboration in the AI ecosystem, including participation from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and African nations.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom's focus during the AI Impact Summit will be on championing how artificial intelligence can supercharge growth, unlock new jobs, improve public services and deliver benefits for people around the globe, the British government has said.

"This summit is an important moment in determining how we can work together with our international partners to unlock the full benefits and potential of AI, while baking in robust and fair safety standards that protect us all," said Lammy, in a pre-summit statement.
