Amrit Bharat Express Update: The Amrit Bharat Express has removed the RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) system, meaning passengers will no longer be allotted half seats after paying the full fare. This move will ensure that every passenger gets a full seat for a more comfortable journey. Additionally, passengers travelling with children in sleeper coaches will be allotted lower berths, subject to availability, jagran.com reported.
This facility will be available even if berths for children are not booked. Lower berths will be automatically issued based on availability for men over 60 and women 45 and older. Railway Board Director of Passenger Marketing Coordination Praveen Kumar has issued orders regarding the new system.

Minimum Fare Will Be Charged For 200 KM In Sleeper, 50 KM In General
Passengers will have to pay a minimum fare of 200 kilometres for sleeper class travel on this train. For general class travel, they will have to pay a minimum fare of 50 kilometres. In addition, reservation fees and superfast fares will also have to be paid separately. The Railways will charge each passenger a rounding-off fee. This means that if the fare is Rs 296, they will have to pay Rs 300.
Ladies, Divyang And Senior Citizen Quota
In the sleeper class of Amrit Bharat trains, ladies quota, disabled quota, and senior citizen quota will be available. No other reservation quotas will be valid. In the unreserved category, quotas will be available as per existing provisions.
Tickets issued in lieu of concessional tickets and free passes that have not been reimbursed will not be valid. Duty passes will be valid on the same lines as Mail Express.
Digital Payment Preferred For Refund On Ticket Cancellation
To initiate the refund process within 24 hours of a reserved ticket cancellation, all payments will be accepted only through digital means. Digital payments will also be preferred for tickets booked over the counter. If the passenger is unable to make a digital payment, the cancelled ticket will be refunded in cash as per existing rules.
