Baruipur Rape-Murder Case: Sandhya Mondal, mother of the man accused of rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl in Bengal's Baruipur and later killed in a police encounter, refused to take his dead body. While talking to the media, Mondal stated that her son Prabhas Mondal was killed because of his wrong deeds. She further declined to visit the hospital to receive the dead body, stating that she had to take care of her ill husband.
While talking to the media, Mondal stated that she will not bring the dead body of her son because of his wrong actions. She further stated that she had no objection to whatever action the police had taken against Prabhas Mondal. "Two policemen came to my house. I had just woken up at that time. They told me that my son had died and asked if I would like to go to the hospital. I told them that I could not go because my husband was ill," Mondal said.
'He Did Nothing Good'
"I told them they can do whatever they want, I have no objection. My son has been punished for his actions. I will not take his body. I will not bring his body home. He did nothing good. He did wrong, and he has been punished," she added. "Kill him or do whatever you want. I have no objection. I will not take his body," Mondal asserted.
Accused Killed In Police Encounter
Earlier, Prabhash Mandal was killed in a police encounter during a crime scene recreation in connection with the Baruipur rape and murder case. According to police, Mandal allegedly tried to snatch a weapon from an officer and opened fire on the police team.
"When the crime scene was being recreated, he tried to snatch the weapon from the police and fire at them. In retaliation, the police fired a shot, which hit Prabhas. He was declared dead in the hospital," Baruipur SP stated.
