Bengal Weather: According to the Alipore Meteorological Department heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds will lash multiple South Bengal on Friday and Saturday. The weather body has issued an orange alert multiple districts on March 20. Similar weather conditions are expected to continue till March 23.

South Bengal Weather

March 18: Light rain/thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over Purulia, Bankura, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia districts of South Bengal. Dry Weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of South Bengal.

March 19: Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Jhargram, West Midnapore, Purulia, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Birbhum and Murshidabad districts of South Bengal.

March 20: Light to moderate rain/thundershower are very likely to occur at many places over Purulia, Bankura, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia districts and very likely to occur at a few places over the rest districts of South Bengal with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind very likely to occur at one or two places over Purulia, Bankura, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia districts of South Bengal.

March 21: Light to moderate rain/thundershower are likely to occur at a few places over all districts of South Bengal with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds very likely to occur at one or two places over all districts of South Bengal.

North Bengal Weather

March 18: Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur at one or two places over Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts of North Bengal.

March 19: Light to moderate rain/thundershower likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Bengal with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Bengal.

March 20: Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Bengal with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Bengal.
