Travelling in Bengaluru using autos, cabs, and taxis is expensive. The bustling traffic adds to the rising costs; however, a resident found a delightful experience recently, which was nothing short of a surprise for him. Sharing his experience on a Reddit post, he posted a photo of an auto-rickshaw meter after his ride that showed a fare of Rs 166 for 11.1 km.
He posted the picture with a caption, "Good auto drivers still exist in Bengaluru!" The post garnered widespread attention, given the expensive commuting in the Karnataka capital. The Bangalureans promptly reacted to the post in staggering numbers.
In one of the initial comments, a user said, "Hope you said thank you to the auto anna. He needs to be celebrated!". To this the man replied, "Yes yes, that too in this heat, he didn’t charge any extra. Was soo happy."

Another user asked, "What's this ancient thing?". The man replied, "That's Meter, only metered people use." One recalled his school-time experience of travelling in the autos. He said, "I remember in the ’90s, during my school days, travelling with my parents in an auto, a 10-km ride used to be around ₹50."
It must be noted that Bengaluru is criticised for the struggle on the roads. The errant auto fares are among the major problems for residents and IT professionals, who come to the tech city for work. The language issue, traffic congestions are also some of the major normal-day concerns in the city
