Datia Violence: A massive violent protest erupted in Madhya Pradesh after the BJP did not field senior leader Narottam Mishra for the Datia by-poll. His supporters blocked the National Highway-44 on Friday, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded for hours. Apart from this, they also pelted stones at the police officials, injuring at least six policemen, including two senior officials. The district administration on Saturday imposed Section 163 of the BNS to maintain the law and order in the region.
As per the latest orders, any kind of public meeting, procession, demonstration, inflammatory posts on social media, and gathering of five or more people at one place without permission have been temporarily banned.
