A 34-year-old man was abducted and duped by a woman and four of her male associates in Southeast Delhi. The con woman allegedly invited the man for a date in Delhi's Nehru Place area, and as soon as he reached it, they kidnapped him.
The shocking incident had taken place on Wednesday, when a man named Anuroop Narula decided to go on a date with a woman, claiming to be Sherry. When he arrived at the spot, the woman, along with three other men, attacked him and pulled him to a car.
The accused people threatened him and attempted to choke Narula. They then forced him to transfer a sum of Rs 7 lakh into their accounts through UPI, ATM cards, and credit cards.
The entire night, the car circled around several areas in Delhi and Gurugram and left him abandoned at Nehru Place at around 9.30 am on Wednesday, the Hindustan Times reported.

Narula then filed a complaint. Delhi Delhi Police registered a case under Sections 309(4), 309(6), 140(3), and 3(5) of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). Subsequently, a police team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ratan Lal and Inspector RS Dagar analysed CCTV footage, phone records, and digital transaction data (including CDR, OSINT, and FASTag data).
The police arrested Rishab Raghav, along with his accomplices, Navjot; Sahil; Sanjay, alias Joy; and Harleen Kaur, alias Jenny. All of them were arrested from Malviya Nagar.
The interrogation revealed that Harleen used the dating app to invite people at different places. Once the location was finalised, she would inform her accomplices and subsequently rob the individual.

Navojit, 30, works as a gym trainer and owner, while 28-year-old Sanjay works as a veterinary assistant. Both are residents of Panchsheel Vihar. Rishabh, 25, a resident of Chhatarpur, is a cab driver.
Police have recovered two cars used in the crime, as well as five mobile phones; they have also obtained details regarding the looted money and bank transactions. The investigation is ongoing.
