DC vs KKR Match Today: Commuters in the national capital should prepare for significant traffic delays on Friday, May 8, 2026, as the Delhi Traffic Police have made special arrangements for the high-stakes Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM and continue till around 10:30 PM is expected to draw large crowds. In view of the high-stakes clash, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory, announcing restrictions and diversions on several routes in and around the stadium to minimise congestion and ensure the convenience of commuters.
Delhi Traffic Advisory For DC vs KKR IPL Match: Restrictions And Diversions
According to the traffic advisory, diversions and restrictions may be imposed on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Marg between 5 PM and 12 midnight, depending on traffic conditions.
- Movement of heavy and commercial vehicles will be restricted from Daryaganj to Delhi Gate Chowk (BSZ Marg), from Delhi Gate Chowk to Guru Nanak Chowk (JLN Marg) and ITO to Delhi Gate Chowk (BSZ Marg).
Commuters have been advised to avoid:
- JLN Marg (Rajghat to Delhi Gate)
- Asaf Ali Road (Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate)
- Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (Delhi Gate to ITO)
DC vs KKR IPL Match: Check Entry Gates for Spectators
The Delhi Traffic Police have advised spectators to follow the designated entry routes to the stadium:
- Visitors heading to Gates 1 to 8 can enter via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
- Entry for Gates 10 to 15 will be through JLN Marg near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.
- Spectators for Gates 16 to 18 can enter near the petrol pump on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
DC vs KKR IPL Match: Check Parking and Shuttle Services
Free parking arrangements have been made at:
- Mata Sundari Road
- Rajghat Power House Road
- Velodrome Road
A park-and-ride facility will also be available for spectators. Special bus services will start two hours before the match and continue until one hour after the match concludes.
Additionally, Parking of vehicles without authorised labels will be strictly prohibited around the stadium. Vehicles parked illegally will be towed away and legal action may be taken.
