CNG Price Hike: CNG prices in Delhi-NCR have been increased by Re 1 per kg, marking the third hike in the last 10 days, after recent increases in petrol and diesel rates. Following the latest revision, CNG will now cost Rs 81.09 per kg in Delhi, while consumers in Noida and Ghaziabad will pay Rs 89.70 per kg. Earlier, prices were raised by Rs 2 on May 15 and by Re 1 on May 18.

The latest hike comes amid rising global energy costs triggered by the ongoing Middle East crisis involving Iran and the US. Petrol prices were increased by 87 paise per litre, while diesel prices saw a hike of 91 paise per litre. Petrol is now priced at Rs 99.5 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 92.4 per litre.

The first hike in CNG prices this month came on May 15, when rates across Delhi-NCR, including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, were increased by Rs 2 per kg. The repeated revisions are expected to significantly impact the operating expenses of autos, cabs, and private vehicles dependent on CNG.

This is the third increase in CNG prices since May 15, as state-run oil companies continue to pass on the burden of rising global energy costs to consumers.
