Delhi-NCR Rain Alert: Amid clear skies and intense sunshine, the heat in Delhi is becoming increasingly severe. In a major relief to residents, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain on Thursday and Friday, June 11 and 12 with temperatures set to drop.
On Tuesday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 29.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 43 degrees Celsius. The sky will be clear during the day, with bright sunshine.
When Will Monsoon Hit Delhi-NCR?
While recent rains provided relief from the heat, Delhi is expected to sizzle this week with temperatures surpassing 42 degrees Celsius. IMD has forecast daytime temperatures in Noida to reach 42 degrees Celsius this week with light drizzle during the weekend.

Heatwave-Like Conditions To Develop Soon
Heatwave-like conditions may develop in the Delhi-NCR region next week. The monsoon is forecast to arrive after June 27, providing some relief from the heat. Humidity is still expected to be high.
Meanwhile, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 161 at 9:30 am on Monday. This falls in the moderate category. The air quality in the NCR cities was also in the satisfactory to moderate category.

IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain Across Multiple States
Monsoon arrived over further parts of the Arabian Sea and new regions of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana on June 8. IMD stated that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, the Northeastern states, and West Bengal during the next seven days.
