Delhi-NCR Weather: The weather in the Delhi-NCR region suddenly changed on Tuesday as clouds blanketed the sky bringing overcast conditions. Dust-laden winds blew through several areas, bringing some relief from heat. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate thunderstorms and heavy rain with lightning at some places in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hapur and Delhi in the next few hours. As per the weather body, the winds are likely to speed up to 40-60 kmph.
IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Rain
As per IMD’s forecast, rain is expected throughout the next week. Temperatures will also decrease starting Wednesday. In this regard, IMD has issued a yellow alert.
Delhi Temperature Today
On Tuesday, Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 30.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 to 41 degrees Celsius. Clouds will remain scattered throughout the day, with bright sunshine.

IMD has stated that several states throughout the nation are set to witness rainfall for the next few days. The weather department asserted that multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, are also set to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds. The rainfall is likely to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius.
As the monsoon progresses in the central and northern regions, light to heavy rainfall is expected in several states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. While the fresh rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat, it is also expected to cause waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences for daily commuters and farmers in the rural regions.
