Delhi-NCR Weather: Residents across Delhi-NCR and Haryana have been urged to stay alert as the region may witness severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and lightning activity tonight.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, forecasting another spell of rain and thunderstorms on Sunday along with gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 60 kmph during the evening.
According to the weather department, very light to light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong surface winds is likely over the next few days, continuing the pleasant weather conditions that have provided relief from the scorching heat earlier this month.
The alert comes after several areas of Delhi experienced light to moderate showers and strong winds on Saturday.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the national capital till June 3, warning of thunderstorms, lightning and squally winds in the region.
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 23.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 3.6 degrees below the seasonal average.
The city’s air quality also remained in the ‘good’ category on Sunday morning, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 91 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
