Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi: The field verification process under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) began on Tuesday in Delhi. However, technical issues with the verification portal created hurdles on day 1. The portal remains inaccessible for a large part of the day, creating problems for both booth level officers (BLO) and residents.

The primary objective of SIR is to ensure the voter list is fully updated and authentic. On Monday, Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashok Kumar shared details of the month-long campaign, accompanied by Joint CEO Balram Meena.

To correct the voter list in 70 assembly constituencies of the capital, 13,033 BLOs and 32,429 BLA-2 appointed by political parties will conduct door-to-door surveys.

BLO TO Visit Homes Thrice

The BLO will give you two copies of the 'Enumeration Form'. One should remain with the BLO, while the other should be kept as a receipt. No identification or other documents are required with this form.

If not found at home, BLO will come three times

If your home is found locked during the survey, the BLO will drop off the form inside. They will visit the home at least three times to collect the form.

Special Arrangements In Place For Homeless And Displaced

Ashok Kumar stated that special arrangements will be made in consultation with the Election Commission for those whose homes were demolished due to the recent anti-encroachment drive and who are unable to participate. Furthermore, forms will be delivered to the location or pole address provided by the homeless, ensuring no voter is left out.

Delhi SIR: Dates To Remember

- June 30 to July 29: BLOs will conduct door-to-door surveys and distribute forms

- August 5: Draft voter list will be published

- August 5 to September 4: Time to file objections regarding the list

- August 5 to October 3: Disposal of received claims and objections

- October 7: Publication of the final voter list

As per the guidelines, voters can search their old record by visiting www.ceo.delhi.gov.in using their EPIC (Voter ID) number, name, or polling station.
