Dwarka Expressway Tunnel Trial Run: The trial run for the Dwarka Expressway Tunnel and Airport Tunnel will be conducted continuously for 24 hours starting Tuesday, June 17. During this period, if any deficiencies are identified, traffic will be temporarily halted, and the construction company will address the issues accordingly by closing the tunnels when necessary.

A persistent network connectivity problem remains unresolved, but authorities have set a 15-day deadline to fix it. Telecom companies have been granted permission to install infrastructure based on their operational needs.

The 24-hour trial will continue until the network issues are fully resolved. Once the connectivity is stable, the tunnels will be opened for permanent public use. Even after becoming fully operational, the construction company has been instructed to maintain round-the-clock monitoring for several days to ensure smooth functioning.

The trial for both tunnels began 15 days ago, starting with a four-hour test, followed by six-hour, eight-hour, and 12-hour trials. The next phase will be a 24-hour continuous trial.

Officials assure there will be no traffic jams during peak hours. Special focus is being placed on the Dwarka Expressway tunnel to ensure there are no operational issues in the future.

Once fully operational, the Dwarka Expressway tunnel is expected to handle an average of 100,000 vehicles daily, with most traffic occurring during peak hours.
