A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped and brutalised by two men, who then threw her out of a moving vehicle on December 30. She claims that the crime took place inside an ambulance. The victim's family stated that she was returning home late at night amid dense fog and had asked for a lift when she saw an Eeco van approaching. Seeing that it was an ambulance, she trusted it.
The family has claimed that the two men, now in police custody, are employed as ambulance staff with a private hospital chain operating in Noida and Faridabad. Following the arrests, the crime branch seized the Eeco van, though authorities have not confirmed if it was officially functioning as an ambulance.
Police are awaiting a test identification parade (TIP), which can only take place once the victim is physically and mentally able to participate. She remains hospitalized with trauma injuries to her face, eyes, and shoulders.
A senior police officer said, "We can't disclose details of the investigation till the TIP. Our crime branch team swiftly arrested the suspects and seized the vehicle. We will ensure the culprits get punished for their crime."
Victim Sister Applied For Help
The woman’s elder sister appealed for help, stating that the family cannot afford the mounting medical expenses. She said they had already paid Rs 45,000 to the hospital. “Many people have visited and assured us of support, but no one has provided financial assistance so far,” she added.
The sister also alleged that family members were being prevented from visiting the woman in her hospital room. A police officer clarified that no relatives had been stopped; doctors had recommended limited access as a precaution to prevent infections.
Haryana State Women’s Commission Chairperson Visited Victim's Family
Haryana State Women’s Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia visited on Friday and, according to the family, promised assistance in transferring the woman to another hospital. The victim, with stitches on her face, remained under close medical supervision. Sources said she sustained multiple fractures, including severe injuries to the right side of her face and shoulder, and is currently unable to speak.
Victim Family Background
The woman has two children, a four-year-old son and a seven-year-old daughter, who are staying with their maternal grandmother. She is one of five sisters, and her husband, based in Delhi, has been living separately from her.
The incident occurred around 3 am near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar, when the two suspects allegedly pushed her out of the vehicle. She managed to contact her sister, who took her to a hospital. Doctors later referred her to a facility in Delhi, but the family admitted her to a private hospital in NIT, Faridabad.

An FIR was registered at Kotwali police station under sections 70(1) (gang rape), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), and 3(5) (act done by several persons) of the BNS.
