Pune News: A video circulating widely on social media shows a father confronting and assaulting a college student who allegedly harassed his daughter online for 15 days. The incident reportedly took place at MIT Art, Design & Technology University in Pune.
According to a NDTV report, the victim, a student at MIT, had been facing persistent online harassment and stalking for around 15 days. The accused, reportedly a student of D Y Patil College, is said to have targeted the young woman across multiple digital platforms, leaving her under severe mental stress. After quietly enduring the situation for days, the student eventually informed her father.
Upset and overwhelmed by anger and frustration, the father accompanied his daughter to the campus in order to identify the accused. When the student appeared and allegedly continued his provocative behaviour, the father first tried to reason with him.
However, witnesses claim the student responded with arrogance rather than remorse. At this point, the father reportedly lost his temper, tackling the youth to the ground and beating him in front of bystanders.

The video has since sparked divided reactions online. While some social media users have supported the father's protective response, others have expressed concern over the absence of timely intervention by college security or local police before the situation escalated into violence.

So far, no formal statement has been issued regarding whether charges will be filed against either party.
