Ghaziabad Murder Case: Tension has prevailed in Navneet Vihar, under the Khoda police station area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, following the murder of a youth, Surya Chauhan, on Bakrid. Surya's body arrived at his home on Saturday. Members of Hindu organisations also visited the deceased youth's home, expressing anger over the incident. The police closed the Sunday Bazaar Road and a large number of security personnel were deployed amid communal tension in the area. The DCP and ACP were also present at the scene.

Hindu Raksha Dal Chief Detained

Meanwhile, Pinky Chaudhary, the national president of the Hindu Raksha Dal, who was visiting Khoda, was detained by the police. The murder has caused widespread anger among the family and surrounding residents.

Family Demands Encounter Of Accused

The deceased's family demanded an encounter of the accused, saying they will not allow the body to be cremated until accused are not killed in the police action.

Victim Was Called From Home On Pretext Of Showing Sacrifice

On Thursday, the day of Bakrid festival, in Navneet Vihar, Khoda police station area, some Muslim youths called a Surya from his home on the pretext of showing him animal sacrifice. When the 11th-grade student refused, the accused stabbed him to death. The student escaped, but they chased him, the Jagran.com reported. Despite being stabbed in the stomach, he continued running for approximately 200 meters.

With the help of relatives, the victim was admitted to a private hospital in Noida, where he died during treatment on Friday afternoon. The incident has created tension in the area. The victim's family has filed a report against the accused. Police formed two teams to search for the accused. On Saturday, police arrested three accused and detained two other youths.

The murder is said to be the result of a dispute between the two parties that had been ongoing for the past eight months. Suryao's family is originally from Sukhavati. Victim's brother said on Thursday, Surya was walking near his house with his neighbour friends, Vicky and Ayush. Surya's neighbour, Asad, called and invited him to meet near Gali No. 2. Surya went to meet Asad with his friends.

What Led To Brutal Murder

According to Vicky, Asad was standing with his friends near a banana warehouse. Asad asked Surya if he had ever seen a goat being slaughtered, to which Surya denied it and started walking back. He further said the accused then began abusing Surya. When Surya resisted, Asad and his friends stabbed him. Surya tried to escape by pushing Asad. The knife remained stuck in his stomach and the accused chased him. They stabbed him several times. He ran for about 200 meters with the knife stuck in his stomach and when his friends raised an alarm, the accused fled. Surya fell unconscious between gali number one and two.

On hearing the noise, Surya's brother Yash also came out and with the help of local people, he was admitted to a private hospital, where, seeing his critical condition, he was referred to a hospital in Noida. He died during treatment on Friday afternoon. Yash filed a report naming Asad and other accused.
