Canada Car Accident: Another incident has come to light involving a Gujarati youth who had travelled abroad with dreams of a bright future. Divya Kumar Patel (21), originally from Ode town in Anand district and currently a resident of Anand, tragically died on the spot in a fatal road accident in Canada.

While Divya was on his way to collect his degree after completing his higher education, the moment of joy for the Anand family turned into devastation. Divya, son of Kiranbhai Kanubhai Patel, originally from Poornima Chowk in Ode town and currently residing in Anand, had gone to Canada to pursue his studies.

On June 9, 2026, Divya was driving his car enthusiastically to college to take his degree when his car met with a serious accident on Highway 69 near French River in Canada.

Divya's Two Friends Injured

The accident was so devastating that the car was destroyed, and Divya died on the spot. Two other friends sitting in the car with him were seriously injured. Local police and rescue teams immediately rushed both injured youth to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition is reported to be critical.

As soon as the news of the untimely and sudden death of the 21-year-old promising young man reached his relatives living in Anand and Od, an atmosphere of mourning descended upon the entire area. The cries of the parents who had lost their sons abroad filled the atmosphere with grief.

Earlier last month, a 22-year-old student from Gujarat's Anand was stabbed to death in Canada’s Niagara. The victim, Vidhi Kalpeshbhai Megha, a native of Borsad town in Anand district, had been living in Canada for the last four years for higher studies.
