Haryana: Police on Friday foiled a plot aimed at carrying out a major attack similar to the Mahila Thana blast. Authorities have arrested five suspects, who reportedly conducted reconnaissance of police outposts and stations, and shared videos of their intended attacks with Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti, currently residing in Dubai.
According to a report by Jagran.com, the suspects were in contact with gangsters through an intermediary and were awaiting delivery of explosives allegedly for a crime planned for March 30.
Police on Friday arrested Rajbir alias Rajiv or DC with his brother-in-law and a minor who were riding a stolen motorcycle. Police recovered video of the recce of the HUDA police post in Sirsa and the Civil Lines police station from Rajbir's mobile.
Following this, police arrested Rohit, alias Kaku, a resident of Hansi, a history-sheeter with over 30 criminal cases registered against him. During the interrogation, Rohit revealed that he had colluded with Rajbir and Vikas to conduct the recce and record the videos.
Police Recover Recordings Of Conversations Between Suspects And Gangsters
Rajbir was driving the bike while Rohit filmed a video during which he reportedly said, "You didn't take action. So we'll teach you a lesson now." Rohit's father, Balwan, was murdered in Sirsa a few years ago. After recovering the video from Rajbir's phone, police detained other suspects for questioning.
According to the report, the search operation continued throughout the night. Police carried out special searches in the flats of Sector-19 from 10 PM to 4 AM. Relatives of the suspects told Jagran.com that officers were dressed in plain clothes and confiscated the DVRs of the CCTV cameras installed in the homes.

The mother of the minor, who works as a sanitation worker in the Municipal Council, said that she handed her son over to the police for questioning. Police also recovered the mobile phones of the relatives of the suspect.
Plans Were Carry Out A Similar Attack Like Mahila Thana Blast
According to police, the suspects planned a major attack similar to the Mahila Thana blast. In November 2025, gangster Shahzaad Bhatti claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on the women's police station in Sirsa.
Police have arrested five suspects in connection with the incident and further investigation is underway.
