In a significant operation, police recovered 900 kilograms of banned explosive material from Bisru village under the Bichhor police station area. The explosives were found hidden in a tin shed constructed in the fields near the BPL Colony in the village.
When the police team arrived to conduct the raid, three youths present at the spot fled upon seeing the officers. A case has been registered against the three accused, and a sample of the seized explosive material has been sent for forensic examination.
Illegal Sale Of Firecracker Gunpowder
According to information received by the police, three brothers, Isa, Israel, and Julli, residents of Bisru village, were illegally manufacturing and selling firecrackers in their fields. They had concealed the explosive material in a tin shed located in the BPL Colony opposite the Primary Health Centre (PHC).
Acting on the tip-off, police immediately constituted a raid team. As soon as the team reached the spot and the official police vehicle came into view, the three accused fled towards the fields, taking advantage of the standing mustard and wheat crops to escape.
Upon searching the tin shed, police recovered 18 plastic sacks filled with light yellow-coloured explosive material. Each sack weighed approximately 50 kilograms, making the total recovery around 900 kilograms.
Police Seizes Explosives
The police have seized the entire quantity of explosive material. A case has been registered against the three accused under the Explosives Act at Bichhor police station.
The police have also called the Scene of Crime (SOC) team to the spot, and a search operation is underway to trace and apprehend the three fugitives.
