Indian Railways announced a new timetable which will come into effect from January 1, 2026, revising the schedules of 24 Express, Vande Bharat and MEMU trains under the South Eastern Railway, particularly those passing through and originating from the Chakradharpur division.

Under the revised schedule, departure and arrival timings of several trains at major stations including Howrah, Shalimar, Tatanagar and Rourkela have been advanced or delayed by 5 to 15 minutes, and in a few cases by up to 30 minutes. Railway officials said the changes have been made to improve operational efficiency and technical coordination.
