Development of Sports and Concert Economy

For Ahmedabad, sports events and music concerts are no longer just events, but have become an "economic engine." From the Coldplay concert to the World Cup Final and now the IPL Final, these events have proven that mega-events directly benefit the city's economy and provide temporary employment to thousands of people.

Narendra Somani further said that very soon we will have Common Wealth games and the Olympic Games in Ahmedabad. Because of the major matches being played in the Narendra Modi Stadium, new brands are also opening hotels, hence there are full possibilities to double up the hotels and rooms.
