IIT Baba Marriage: The love story of Abhay Singh, popularly known as 'IIT Baba', is making headlines alongside his spiritual journey. Rising to prominence during the Mahakumbh 2025 after graduating from IIT Bombay with an aerospace engineering degree and reportedly turning down an impressive job offer, Singh's personal life has drawn fresh attention. On Mahashivratri 2025, he met Preetika at an ashram in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, marking the beginning of a story that is now widely being discussed.

Due to their ideological similarities, Abhay proposed marriage the very next day they met. Initially, the proposal was not taken seriously, but over time, the relationship grew serious. After staying in touch and understanding each other for about a year, they decided to get married.

The wedding took place in a temple on Mahashivratri this year, followed by a court marriage. On Monday, the newlyweds arrived at their ancestral village, Sasrauli, in Haryana’s Jhajjar, where they were welcomed by their family in a traditional manner. Preetika, a native of Karnataka, was given a housewarming ceremony.

Abhay Singh Made Headlines During Mahakumbh

During Mahakumbh 2025, Abhay Singh presented religion and spirituality from a scientific perspective. He explained religious concepts through examples from quantum physics and neuroscience. Through internet media, his message reached a large number of young people. His logical presentation, combined with his IIT background and simple lifestyle, kept him in the spotlight.

Last year in March, Abhay Singh was arrested from a hotel in the Shiprapath area with a small quantity of ganja. He was later granted bail. Shiprapath SHO Rajendra Kumar Godara stated that the police received information about a widely circulated video allegedly showing Singh threatening to commit suicide.

Acting on this information, the police arrived at the location and questioned Singh. During the interrogation, a small quantity of ganja was found in his possession.
