Three people were killed and one suffered severe injuries on Friday night after a massive fire broke out at Hehal, Barkakana OP area, under Patratu block of Ramgarh district in Jharkhand. The deceased have been identified as factory shift in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Kesari, 50, a resident of Ranchi, Vineet Mahato, 25, a resident of Jageshwar Bihar, Bokaro, and Abhishek Pandey, 24, a resident of Garhwa.

The injured laborer, Tarun Rajwar, a resident of Hazaribagh, has been admitted to The Hope Hospital on Ranchi Road for treatment.

What Happened In The Factory?

The tragic incident took place after a massive fire broke out during production work at the factory's power plant site, causing panic among the workers working in the night shift. Workers began running for their lives.

Factory management and police arrived late at night after receiving the information. Firefighters were then called in from Ramgarh and the blaze was brought under control. A crowd of local villagers has been gathering at the factory gate since morning after receiving information about the incident.

Reacting to the incident, a worker said, "It is entirely the management’s fault. The panel overheated, and due to the overheating, the safety system failed."The workers are now attempting to block the factory gates demanding compensation and jobs for the dependents of the deceased. Meanwhile, Anurag Tripathi, in-charge of the factory's power plant unit, said that the incident occurred due to overheating in the plant caused by management's negligence. They had repeatedly requested the installation of air conditioners to control the temperature.
