Madhya Pradesh’s Khajuraho Airport is making headlines for a unique reason. It has been voted as India’s best airport in the latest Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Surprisingly, not a single commercial flight operated from the airport during July and August. This situation has sparked a new debate in the aviation sector about the survey process and its standards.
Number 1 In Survey, Silence On Runway
Khajuraho Airport outperformed several busier and larger airports in the Airports Authority of India's biannual customer satisfaction survey report. However, both regular commercial flights to Delhi and Varanasi have been suspended since July 1. The airport runway is completely silent these days.
Flights May Resume In October
According to Khajuraho Airport Director Santosh Singh, no flights are currently operating to Delhi and Varanasi. He expressed hope that services on both routes could resume in October. However, he did not provide details on the reasons for the suspension.
Khajuraho Airport Ranked Best On 33 Parameters
-The AAI Customer Satisfaction Index is based on surveys conducted by independent agencies, which collect feedback from passengers on 33 key parameters, including ground transport, parking, Wi-Fi, catering, cleanliness and other amenities.
-Based on these standards, Khajuraho Airport has been considered to be the airport providing the best customer experience in the country, even though currently no regular passenger flights are operating there.

In another news, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has retained its title as the world's busiest airport for passenger traffic for most of the past 27 years. This is due to its strategic location, extensive flight network and efficient operations. However, in 2020, it missed the title of the busiest airport due to the covid pandemic.
Located in the US state of Georgia, the airport serves as one of the most important aviation hubs in the world, connecting millions of travellers to domestic and international destinations each year. Its position in the southeastern United States allows airlines to efficiently link passengers from smaller cities to destinations across North America and beyond.
