Goa Nightclub Fire: Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of the Goa nightclub ‘Birch By Romeo Lane’ where a massive fire killed 25 people, have been deported from Thailand and are now being brought to Delhi on an IndiGo flight. They expected to land shortly at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

A team from the Goa Police and Delhi Police will wait at the airport. Upon their arrival, the Luthra brothers will be produced before the Patiala House Court, where the Goa Police will seek their transit remand for further investigation, Hindustan Times reported.

A massive fire broke out at a nightclub 'Birch by Romeo Lane', which killed 25 people on the intervening night of December 6-7. Videos from the scene showed massive flames and plumes of smoke engulfing the venue.

In a video, a dancer is seen performing on the beats of the popular Bollywood song 'Mehbooba Mehbooba' from the film Sholay when the first flames suddenly appear on the ceiling, showing the start of the inferno that claimed 25 lives, including 20 staff and five tourists, NDTV reported.

Their evasion ended when authorities were able to trace and detain them as they stepped out from their hotel to collect a meal in Thailand. The Indian government impounded the passports of Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, and a Blue Notice was issued against them via Interpol.

They have been deported from Thailand and are now being returned to India for further investigation. In an FIR filed last Sunday, the Luthra brothers were charged under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 125(a) and (b) (endangering life and personal safety), and 287 (negligent conduct with fire or combustible matter) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
