A shocking incident has been reported from a village in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district, where a 17-year-old girl was brutally attacked by a jilted lover in broad daylight. The accused carried out a violent assault before being arrested by police.

Brutal Axe Attack

The accused, identified as Dharmendra Parihar, allegedly entered the girl’s house while she was alone. He attacked her with an axe and struck her nearly 20 times on the face and head, leaving her critically injured. A video of the incident shows the accused attempting to hang the injured girl from the roof while she was still alive and bleeding heavily. However, the rope slipped from his hands, causing her to fall to the ground. He then jumped down and moved towards her.

Girl Rescued By Neighbours

Hearing the girl’s screams, neighbours rushed to her house and found her lying in a pool of blood with serious injuries, but she was still alive. She was quickly taken to the hospital, where her condition got worse. Doctors said she had multiple injuries and needed several stitches on her face. While the video of the incident has surfaced online, The Daily Jagran could not independently verify the authenticity of the claims.

Man Arrested By Police

According to NDTV report, villagers managed to overpower Parihar and later handed him over to the police. Police have registered a case against him, including charges of attempted murder and other serious offences. The victim’s family said this was not the first time the accused had targeted the girl. They alleged that he had been harassing and molesting her a few weeks earlier and had continued troubling her.

Mohali Incident

Earlier on Thursday, a similar incident was reported from Mohali in Punjab, where a man allegedly stabbed his colleague, reportedly his ex-girlfriend, to death at a private firm. The incident, captured on CCTV, showed the accused entering the office and attacking the woman after she tried to escape.
