Maihar-Rewa Highway Accident: In a tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh, five members of the same family died on the spot, and one individual got severely injured after a high-speed car collided with a truck on the Maihar-Rewa national highway. As per the eyewitnesses, the accident occurred in the late hours of Monday near Righra village in the Nadan police station area. The front portion of the car got completely destroyed due to the impact of the collision, leading to panic among the locals.
Deceased Belong To Same Family
The passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital; however, most of them died on the spot. The injured passenger was later referred to Jabalpur after the first aid. The deceased have been identified as Ankur Patel, Mridun Patel, Vishesh Patel, Harishankar Patel, and one other member of the same family.
Injured Passenger Remains Critical
As per reports, the deceased are set to be members of the family of the late former MLA Lalji Patel. The officials stated that Sanjeev Patel got seriously injured in the accident and his condition remains critical. Former minister Ramkhelawan Patel, upon receiving the information, visited the hospital and consoled the grieving family.
In a similar road accident in MP, five people died while four sustained serious injuries after a head-on collision between a car and a truck on the Ashta-Pachor-Shujalpur road near Mena Godi village in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district on Monday.
The accident was so severe that the Bolero car was completely mangled, and the five people died on the spot. According to eyewitnesses, three people were thrown approximately 15 to 20 feet from the vehicle after the collision, while several others, including the driver, were trapped inside the Bolero.
Local villagers and police rushed to the site after the fatal accident. They pulled the injured out after considerable effort and took them to a hospital.
