Last-minute airport rush just got easier as passengers flying from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) would now be allowed to order essential items, including chargers, books, juices, water and other things using Blinkit.
Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), which operates the CSMIA, has partnered with Blinkit to launch India's first in-terminal quick commerce delivery service. The move is set to redefine the retail experience for the passengers.
However, the service is not available for all the passengers flying out or in through the Mumbai airport. The service is operational at Terminal 2 and will be available exclusively at the domestic departure section.
The new arrangement allows passengers to order 2,500+ essential items through the Blinkit app and have them delivered directly to boarding gates, lounges, the food court and select partner outlets.

Keeping in mind safety regulations, liquids such as packaged water, juices and cold drinks are also being made available through the terminal's approved stock. The service is operated by trained on-ground staff to ensure smooth and safe deliveries without impacting airport operations or passenger travel times.
Talking about the initiative, an AAHL spokesperson said the initiative aims to enhance the overall airport experience by bringing digital convenience to the terminal.
"Adani Airports is reimagining how digital services can enhance the airport experience. Bringing app-based convenience into the terminal allows passengers to make better use of their time and raises the overall service standard," the spokesperson said.
The initiative is also a big development for Blinkit as it gets an exclusive entry into the Mumbai airport, a high-frequency transit environment with a huge consumer base.

Albinder Dhindsa, Blinkit CEO, took to X to share the development and said, "Through our partnership with Adani Airports, travellers can now order from a selection of 2500+ products like phone chargers, books, gifts and more on the Blinkit app. Orders will be delivered within the terminal by our dedicated team of walkers."
The service takes airport shopping to a new level of accessibility and affordability, giving travellers more options without the usual constraints of time and space.
