LSG vs DC IPL 2026: Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to start a new phase in his career by representing Lucknow Super Giants during IPL 2026. Arjun first entered this tournament after being roped in by the Mumbai-based franchise during the IPL 2021 auction. He represented this team until IPL 2025, when he got limited chances, which is why he has now joined LSG for IPL 2026. Although he hasn't made his debut for the new team, he is expected to play more matches than he did at MI.
In an interview on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Arjun talked about his experience playing for the Mumbai Indians and the few chances he got there.
"You played a few matches for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and bowled well. Your swing was good, so did you feel you should have gotten more opportunities?" Shubhankar asked Arjun.

And to this he said, "Who doesn't feel that? No one wants to sit on the bench. But we want to work hard and perform when we get a chance."
He also shared his views on the Impact player rule, a debatable regulation in this tournament. The rule has received heavy criticism from a few Indian cricketers over the last few days. Arjun agreed, saying cricket is a game for 11 players and should be played that way.
"Pick 11 and play. Because in international T20S, and in any other league, there is no Impact Player. So, I am personally against the Impact Player rule", he added.

LSG has often had a formidable top order, but its lower and middle order is weaker. Although Arjun might not play as an opener, he might come into bat at the no.6,7 or 8 position, where he will try to show his batting prowess. He isn't sure as to how many chances he will get in the ongoing season, but he is ready to bat at any position that he would be given.
While talking about his team's middle order, he revealed, "Our middle order is also very powerful. For example, in the last two matches, our players have been consistent and have scored crucial runs. T20 is a game where anyone can beat anyone, so I think we have a bright chance to do well in this tournament."
