Bihar Horror: Amid massive public outrage over the recent sexual and physical assault cases against women in Bihar, a fresh video from the Mandar Parvat tourist site in Banka has emerged on the social media platforms. In the viral video, a minor girl was allegedly seen being surrounded and harassed by a group of local goons. The state police have registered a case against six unidentified youths and launched a probe.
Girl Harassed At Tourist Site
The video was allegedly recorded at the Mandar Parvat tourist site, in which the miscreants can be seen physically harming the victim. While one of them twisted her hands, another accused hit the victim with a slipper as the others held sticks in their hands. The video was uploaded with a background song, allegedly to promote hooliganism and moral policing. The series of such videos has raised serious questions on the law and order in the state.
Police Begin Probe
While the alleged publish date of the video is September 3, the police stated that the initial probe suggests that the video could be around six months old. Bounsi SHO Pankaj Kumar Jha, while providing details, stated that the police received the video on September 22, adding that probe has been launched to disclose the condition under which the video was shot, reported Times of India.
FIR Agaisnt Six Accused
The state police registered an FIR against six unidentified youths under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and have begun the identification process. Earlier, a woman in Samastipur district was allegedly abused and physically harassed during a photoshoot. As per the reports, the local goons surrounded the victim and her friend during a photoshoot and began passing vulgar comments.
One of them even recorded the whole incident and circulated it on the social media platforms, leading to the outrage. In the video, while one of the accused was seen holding her hand, another man attempted to grab her hair from behind. The police later arrested four individuals in this matter.
