Patna Rain Alert: In a major update for the passengers, the Railways has stated that several trains on the Patna route will be diverted between September 19 and October 4 due to the repair works. The authority stated that the diversion has been announced due to the Pre-NI and NI work on several sections. The passengers have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconveniences.
The East Central Railway has announced diversion of 383 trains during this period, adding that stoppages at major stations like Patna Junction, Mokama, Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, and Barauni will be temporarily cancelled. While providing details, the officials stated that the passengers of Patna and nearby regions are set to face inconveniences due to this decision.
Routes Of Major Trains Changed:
- Train number 15667 Gandhidham-Kamakhya Express: This train will run via Danapur-Patliputra-Hajipur-Shahpur Patori-Barauni on September 19. As per the advisory, it will not stop at Patna Junction.
- Train number 13006 Amritsar-Howrah Express: This train will run via Bakhtiyarpur-Bihar Sharif-Sheikhpura-Kiul from September 20 to 30. Its stoppage at Mokama station has been cancelled to escalate the works.

- Train number 12303 Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express: It will operate via Kiul-Sheikhpura-Biharsharif-Bakhtiyarpur from September 21. The train will not stop at Mokama and Barh.
- Train number 15657/15658 Delhi-Kamakhya Express: The train will run on the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay-Gaya-Kiul route. It will not stop at Dildarnagar, Buxar, Ara, Patna, Patna Sahib and Mokama due to the change in route.
- Train number 12435 Jaynagar-Anand Vihar Garib Rath: It will operate via Samastipur-Muzaffarpur-Patliputra-Danapur. As per the advisory, its stoppages at Barauni, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur and Patna Junction will be cancelled.
Advisory For Passengers
The railway administration has appealed to the passengers to check the status of their train before reaching the station during this period. The passengers have also been advised to dial the local officials in case of any changes in the schedule.
