Delhi Traffic Advisory: In a major update for the commuters, the Delhi traffic police have issued restrictions on several major roads for three days due to the BRICS summit. The traffic police, in its advisory, stated that the decision has been taken amid the security concerns. The authority has advised the commuters to use the alternative routes and follow the guidelines to avoid the inconveniences.

Traffic Police Announces Restrictions

- As per the advisory, special traffic restrictions and diversions will be in effect around Bharat Mandapam and Pragati Maidan from 2 pm to 8:30 pm on September 11.

- Traffic will be restricted on over 35 roads, while vehicles will be diverted to alternative routes at 22 key locations.

These Routes To Remain Affected

The vehicular movement will remain affected on several key routes, including Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, Tees January Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Subrahmanyam Bharti Marg, Mathura Road, Motilal Nehru Marg, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Marg, Africa Avenue Road, Satya Marg, Shanti Path, Janpath, Ashoka Road, Barakhamba Road, Tolstoy Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Niti Marg, Panchsheel Marg, Kemal Ataturk Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Press Enclave Road, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Joseph Broz Tito Marg, and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.

Diversion At 22 Sites

- The traffic police has announced diversions at 22 sites, including Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk, Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk, Mir Dard Chowk, Kasturba Gandhi Marg-Outer Circle, Janpath-Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, RML Hospital Roundabout, Vande Mataram Marg, Dhaula Kuan Flyover, Moti Bagh Flyover, and Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Marg.

- Vehicular movement will also be controlled on Lodhi Road-Amrita Shergill Marg, Lodhi Road-Max Mueller Marg, Lodhi Road-Maharishi Raman Marg, Lodhi Road-Archbishop Macarius Marg, under Lodhi flyover, Neela Gumbad, under Oberoi flyover, DPS Mathura Road U-turn, Ring Road-Bhairon Road, and Mandi House.
