A fierce verbal spat took place between a cop and a BJP leader over traffic congestion near a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur. The argument started when BJP district president Rajesh Shukla reached out to city in-charge Swati Chaturvedi with the complaint.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. He could be heard saying, "Swati ji, there's a traffic jam at the hospital gate, making it difficult to walk. Several ambulances are also stuck."

Irked over the recording of the video, Chaturvedi replied, "You're making a video of me. You go get me suspended; there's nothing more you can do."

The argument escalated after Shukla objected to her remarks, asking, "Why would we make a video of you? The problem will be explained. It's your job to get it resolved."

Infuriated, the police outpost in-charge responded, saying, "We are on post-mortem duty. This is not our job."

Cop removed from duty

After over 30 minutes of arguments, Shukla left the spot and informed Sitapur SP Ankur Agrawal about the incident. In late-night action, Chaturvedi was removed from the City station in-charge post.

Traffic jam has been a common occurrence outside the government hospital gate, often caused by e-rickshaws. Shukla had reached Chaturvedi after an ambulance could not reach the hospital. The attendant had to carry the patient in their arms while no police personnel were on site to clear the jam.

A resident, Archana Shukla, who had come to the district hospital with her daughter to get medicine, had her chain snatched. Talking about the incident, she said that when she went to the police outpost near the hospital to lodge a complaint, Inspector Swati Chaturvedi refused to lodge her complaint and told her to go to the police station.
