Security surveillance has been intensified across parts of Jammu and Kashmir following reports that the Pakistani Army's Special Services Group (SSG) is training approximately 50 to 60 Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists along the Line of Control. The Rajouri-Poonch, Gurez-Tangdar, Uri, and Keran sectors remain vulnerable to infiltration. Security sources indicate that Jaish and Lashkar terrorists are undergoing a three-month training programme alongside Pakistan Army SSG commandos.

As terrorist activities near the Uri and Keran sectors are intensifying, the Indian officials are fearing attacks by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) on the Line of Control. However, officials have not ascertained this yet.

In the Mansehra area, a temporary training camp has been set up. Around 80 jihadists are stationed there, including 50-60 terrorists and around 20 SSG commandos, Jagran.com reported.

The anti-Pakistan movement in Jammu and Kashmir has also impacted the terrorist network. According to security agencies, this is why the ISI is focusing on recruiting new terrorists from Pakistani Punjab and other parts.

Is JeM Reactivating Ops In Bahawalpur?

According to sources, JeM terrorists are reactivating operations in Bahawalpur and expanding Lashkar's overall training infrastructure within Pakistan.This expansion aims to generate new personnel for the terrorist network while reducing reliance on operatives within Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports indicate that Lashkar-linked operatives have expanded local outreach across key areas of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including Mirpur, Kotli, and Poonch.

Additionally, establishing a new Lashkar training centre in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa signifies that the ISI is widening its recruitment and training operations deeper inside Pakistan rather than relying solely on traditional bases.

According to sources, the JeM and LeT terrorist modules are now being reorganised into smaller modules, recruitment of a limited number of trained terrorists, and covert networks. The JeM and LeT officials are also attempting to influence youth and activate dormant support networks through fake accounts on online platforms. It is alleged that Lashkar cadres have been introduced to the methods related to Hamas.
