Pune Housing Lottery 2026: Application deadlines for the Pune housing lottery have been extended to October 22 by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). So now applicants have another week to submit and resolve any pending document verifications. This is the second time the submission date has been pushed back by the authorities. The previous deadline was October 15.

Why Pune Housing Lottery Application Deadline Extended Again?

According to MHADA, extra time was required due to a delay in the verification of domicile and income certificates. Applicants whose documents are still under review can now benefit from the extended period to complete their submissions.

What Does Pune Housing Lottery Cover?

The housing lottery covers homes given through the MHADA Pune Board’s 15% Social Housing and 20% Inclusive Housing schemes. The schemes are part of MHADA’s efforts to make housing more accessible by allotting homes through a lottery system instead of selling them directly to individual buyers.

According to MHADA Pune Board chairman Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, a total of 1,65,028 people had registered for the lottery by the time the deadline was extended. Out of them, 1,01,811 applicants had also paid the required deposit, showing that many had moved ahead with their applications.

According to Patil, 3,872 domicile certificates and 2,142 income certificates are still under verification. These pending certificates are the very reason for the deadline extension.
